This is gonna be a premium option for if you want to get a bike, up to 67 pounds, where you need it to go, but you don't have a hitch, or maybe you're towing something already. This is going to hold on our bike by dual-wheel mounting, using two arms on either side that we can activate with these piston arms. There's no straps needed. Everything is done right there. more

How's it going, everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima HighRoad Roof Bike Rack on our 2022 Toyota RAV4. This is gonna be a good option to get a bike, in this case up to 45 pounds where you need it to go, in the event that maybe you don't have a hitch or you're towing something already, or, you know, you just don't wanna add space to the back of your vehicle, this is a great way to get it on top of the roof and get it to where it's gotta go. This bike rack holds onto our bike by the front tire using these two hoops, rather than making you take the front tire off, which is nice. In addition, there's no frame contact, so if you do wanna put a carbon frame bike up here, you can 'cause it won't damage the frame while you're driving. All you do is you load it up. more

Yakima HighSpeed Roof Bike Rack Review - 2017 Toyota RAV4- Video
Today I have my buddies 2017 Toyota RAV4 and we are taking a look at the Yakima HighSpeed roof mounted fork mounted bike rack. There are gonna be two HighSpeed roof rack kits on our website. The one we're looking at today gives us two options for mounting. Right now we're utilizing the T track on our aftermarket bars on our roof to get it secured down but it's not going to make it any more low profile than these straps that come on it. Normally these are very low profile but the one reason why the T slots are very nice is notice how it's mounted right above our tower. So we can fully utilize our roof rack system with the T slots. more

Today on my buddy's 2019 Toyota RAV4 we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima Highroad Roof-mounted Bike Rack. The Highroad is gonna be for you if you don't wanna modify your bike for it to go up and get secured down on a roof-mounted bike rack. I'm comparing this one to a fork-mounted option. You're gonna have to remove the front wheel and store that somewhere. With this one, you keep it as is, you put it up there, you tighten it down. When you're there, you can just take it right off and go ride on the trails a little bit quicker. more

So this is gonna be for your fat tire bikes. And when we're comparing these to some of the other ones that you have on the site, what really sets this one apart is this little arm. So if you do have fenders on your fat tire bike, this is gonna be one of the only options that you have to be able to lock it down. A lot of them do wheel hooks but with this it's actually really cool whenever you're ready to load up and just press that button and it's ready to go and you wanna tighten it down, you can tighten it down. more

Thule FastRide Roof Bike Rack Review - 2017 Toyota RAV4- Video
Today, on our 2017 Toyota RAV4, we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule FastRide roof-mounted bike rack. When you're setting up your crossbar spread, we wanna make sure it's not gonna be any less than 18 inches from the center of your crossbar to the center of the other crossbar, and we don't want it to be any more than 36 inches. So whenever you're setting that up, it's usually gonna be about in the same bounds as your other accessories. So just make sure you do that, so that it's gonna be compatible. We are gonna be able to fit tire width up to three inches, so this isn't gonna be for your fat tire bikes, and it is relatively lighter weight since it's on the roof as typical with most roof bike racks. So we're gonna have a capacity of about 37 1/2 pounds. more

Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at the Inno Tire Hold II roof-mounted bike rack, here on our 2017 Toyota RAV4. Now, this can be a great way of getting your bikes off the back of the vehicle and up on top, saving you a lot of room and maneuverability, as well as freeing up your hitch for some of those bigger accessories that we need to carry wherever we're going. This can be also a very great option if you're living in the city and don't have that much room in your parallel parking and that way you can go ahead and get it on the top roof of your car. One thing I would suggest with that, though, if you are going for that city parking, we have it on the driver's side here today. A couple of tricks though, you can put that on the passenger side just as easily, which is one thing that's great about the Inno Tire Hold II. more

Evangeline: Hi. It's Evangeline from etrailer.com and today we are looking at the Yakima High Road roof bike rack on our 2020 Toyota Tacoma. Now, what's great about this bike rack is if you need to mount your bike and have it ready to go right when you dismount it, it's great for that. It has a wheel mount as well, so we have our carbon fiber frame bike up there and it's okay because you don't have to worry about warping, like we might would maybe either frame mounts.Now, some other bike racks, especially roof bike racks, might be forked bike racks. And the main difference for here is that with this one, you don't have to worry about taking off your front wheel, storing it while you're on your trip and reattaching it after you arrive. You just lift it off and you're ready to go.So while this is a great bike rack, the question is can your bike fit on it So this can handle wheel diameters of 26 to 29. more

This is an axle mount, as you can see, we have our front wheel removed. Simply toss this in the back, makes it easier to load our bike on top of our roof, without the weight of the front wheel. It would seem like it doesn't add that much, but it actually does. We've installed some up here that you have to lift the entire bike up and removing the front wheel does make a significant difference.This is a great way to get our bike to our favorite destination, without having to try to figure out how to fit it into the rear hatch area of her vehicle. more

Inno Roof Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Tacoma- Video
John: Hey guys, John here from etrailer.com. Today we have our 2019 Toyota Tacoma, we're test fitting the Inno Tire Hold II Roof Mount Bike Rack. This is a great way to get your bike to your favorite destination without taking up your truck bed space or adding a hitch mount bike rack to the end of your vehicle and adding length to it. The Tire Hold II can hold up to a 50 pound bike with a max tire width of two and three quarter inches, it can accommodate up to a 29 inch diameter wheel and a 48 inch wheel base. Your wheel base is going to be from a center of one axle to the center of your other axle.I would like to point out that this bike rack does come with a cable lock, wrap it around your bike and feed it in through this hole here, which this latch will come over the end of the cable lock and secure your bike to the bike rack.Let's get our bike down and then we'll give you some dimensions and see how this bike rack interacts with the Tacoma specifically. If you'd like to know I'm about six foot tall and since our Tacoma sits higher, I do need to get a step stool to safely remove the bike from the pickup. more

Rhino Rack MountainTrail Roof Bike Racks Review - 2012 Toyota Rav4- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Toyota Rav 3, we're gonna be test fitting the Rhino-Rack's MountainTrail Rooftop Bike Rack, that's gonna be part number RBC035. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. First and foremost, how it's actually attached to the rack. It's gonna grip your bike at the front here by your fork mounts, meaning you're gonna have to remove your front tire to install this. A bonus here is it does come with a lock included so once you have this installed and clamped into place, you can lock it down and secure your bike to the bike rack. There's also a lock on the top portion here, and that is keyed alike with our clamp lock here, so you can secure it both to the roof rack, as well as the bike to the bike rack.Moving to the rear, it's gonna have this rear wheel strap to hold this into place, and this is is adjustable back and forth along the length of the bike rack to accommodate for bikes of different sizes. more

Now, a unique feature about this bike rack is that it does grip it by your front wheel as opposed to the fork mounts or your through axle, so you don't have to worry about if you have either of those. This can match either style.It has two points of contact with our wheel here, and it does have this tightening down point at the front, which has an acu-tight . Or excuse me, a tensioning tool to it to let you know that it's tightened enough, where it will snap like that so you don't over-tighten it or overdo it with your tire.We also have a rear wheel strap here, and this is adjustable the length of the bike rack to accommodate for bikes of different sizes. As for the bike being secured to the rack, it's going to be secured at three different points of contact. It's going to have two plastic straps, both on the back wheel, and the front wheel. What's nice about these straps in the cradles is that they can slide up and down the rack to accommodate any type of width of bike that you might have. It also is secured by the third point of contact with a wheel hook that folds up over your front wheel, and just secures it down. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Toyota RAV4, we're going to be test fitting the Inno Fork Lock III Roof Mounted Bike Rack, and that's going to be part number INA391. We already have the bike installed on our rack, so let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of our features.How the bike is held into place starting at the front here, it's going to grip your bike by the fork mounts. What's nice about this bike rack is that once this is in place, and it does come with the lock already at the top, everything is secure from the bike rack to the roof rack, as well as the bike to the bike rack because you can't remove the bike rack without this being open and unlocked, and you can't loosen it without that being loosened and unlocked as well with the latch here. We'll get to that a little bit later.Moving to the rear, we do have this rear wheel strap that does ratchet down into place, and this is adjustable the length of the bike rack to accommodate for bikes of different sizes. Now, you see that at the back here this does stick out pretty far past where our hatch is. However, since this particular model does open from the side here out, clearance is not going to be an issue for this bike rack.So, let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. more

RockyMounts Roof Bike Racks Review - 2012 Toyota RAV4- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2012 Toyota Rav4, we're gonna be test fitting the RockyMounts SwitchHitter Rooftop Bike Rack, part number RKY1270. This is a pretty unique rooftop bike rack in that it grips your bike at two points, but you do have choice when it comes to the front mount here. Right now we have a 9mm skewer mount that you see here grips your bike by it's fork mounts, but this will also work with Thru-Axles as well, so that works with either 12 or 15mm . Thru-Axles. There's another adaptor for a 20 that is sold separately.On the rear here, we do have this strap that'll hold the rear tire in place, and this is adjustable the length of the bike rack, to accommodate for bikes of different sizes. For security, we do have an integrated cable-lock although the lock-core is gonna be sold separately, and you can find that on etrailer.com so you can make this keyed alike with other accessories, or another roof rack if you wanted to.With everything installed as it is, you can see this sticks out pretty far back over our actual rear hatch, but since the Toyota Rav4, it's rear door opens out instead of up, that's not gonna be an issue with this particular rack. more

The skewer is lockable, so once you attach this bike to the bike rack and lock it in place, it's secured to the bike rack as well. With everything installed as it is, we're not going to have any issues of clearance between the trunk and the bike rack itself, as you can see here. more

Rhino Rack Road-Warrior Roof Bike Racks Review - 2016 Toyota Camry- Video
Today on our 2016 Toyota Camry we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack Road Warrior Rooftop Bike Rack, part number RBC036. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is attached to the rack, we're going to have two points of contact with no frame contact at all. We'll have a rear wheel strap which is adjustable along the bike rack to accommodate different sized bikes, and then up at the front we have this skewer mount which will grip your bike by the fork mounts. You will notice that the skewer mount does have a lock on it already, so once you put this into place and lock it, the bike will be secured to the bike rack. With everything installed as it is, we're not going to have any issues of clearance between the trunk and the bike rack as you can see here. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it down. We'll push this tab at the rear wheel strap to release it, then holding onto the bike so it doesn't fall onto the vehicle, we'll release our front skewer like so, and lift our bike up and off. Rhino Rack MountainTrail Roof Bike Racks Review - 2016 Toyota Camry- Video
Today on our 2016 Toyota Camry, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack Mountain Trail roof top, bike rack, part number RBC035. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is attached to the rack, we're going to have two points of contact, with no frame contact at all. Instead, we're going to have this wheel strap at the rear, which is adjustable along the length of the bike rack, to accommodate different size bikes. Then, at the front we have the skewer mount, which will grip your bike by its forks. On the front of the skewer mount, you'll see that it does have a lock already attacked, so once you secure that, your bike is going to be secure to your bike rack. With the bike sitting as it is, there's not going to be any issues of clearance between the trunk and the bike rack, as you can see here. Let's go ahead and take the bike off, and set it aside. We'll start with the rear wheel strap, pushing in on the tab, and lifting up. more

Thule Roof Bike Racks Review - 2016 Toyota Camry- Video
Today on our 2016 Toyota Camry, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Circuit XT Roof Bike Rack, part number TH526XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look, and show off some of the features. How the bike attaches to the rack, we're going to have two points of contact with no frame contact at all. We'll have this wheel strap at the rear, and this is adjustable along the length of the bike rack to ensure that you can use bikes of different sizes. Then up at the front we have the skewer mount that will grip your front bike by the fork mount. You'll also notice at the end here of the skewer, there is a knock out where you can place a Thule lock core, which is sold separately, so that you can secure your bike to the bike rack. more

Instead, we have it held on by two points. We have this front skewer here that holds the bike in place by it's fork-mounts, which is lockable if you remove this portion here, so you can actually secure the bike to the rack. We also have this wheel strap in the back, which is adjustable the length of the bike rack to accommodate different sized bikes. With the bike attached you're not going to have any clearance issues between the hatch and the bike rack itself in this position. Let's go ahead and take the bikes off and set them aside. We'll start with the rear wheel strap. more

RockyMounts Roof Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota Highlander- Video
Today in our 2015 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be test fitting the Rocky Mount Switch Hitter Rooftop Bike Rack, number RKY1270. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The first feature about this is the fact that there's frame contact at all holding the bike to the rack, so there's not going to be anything scratching your bike once you install it. Instead, we have this quick release skewer here at the front, which grips the bike by it's fork mounts, which also works for two axles for 10-15 millimeters. At the rear we have this strap here and this is adjustable the length of the bike rack to accommodate different size bikes. Now with the bike on there, I like to point out now that with the hatch open there's not going to be any clearance issues between the two. I would also like to point out that, at the end here, we have an integrated cable lock which will provide additional security for your bike once it's attached. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. We'll start here at the rear strap and just push this tab in at the top, that will release it, you'll see it's adjustable. more
